Population Genetic Analysis of a Bread Wheat Panel from Northern and Huang-Huai Agro-Ecological Regions in China

چکیده

Bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is one of the most extensively cultivated cereal crops around world. Here, we investigated population structure and genetic diversity a panel mainly originated from two agro-ecological regions (northern winter region, NW; Huang-Huai River Valley’s facultative HH) in China based on 15K SNP array. Population analysis revealed that optimal number (K) was three, three groups were roughly related to ecological regions, including NW (mainly Hebei), HH1 (Henan-Shaanxi), HH2 (Shandong). Within HH, had higher nucleotide (π = 0.31167), minor allele frequency (MAF 0.2663), polymorphism information content (PIC 0.2668), expected heterozygosity (Hexp 0.3346) than HH2. Furthermore, our results demonstrated decreases with advancement breeding. Finally, inference ancestry informative markers indicated genomes pure provinces (Hebei, Henan, Shandong) have genomic different mosaic patterns derived landrace groups. These findings may facilitate development breeding strategies target novel desired alleles future.

Genomic prediction models for grain yield of spring bread wheat in diverse agro-ecological zones

Genomic and pedigree predictions for grain yield and agronomic traits were carried out using high density molecular data on a set of 803 spring wheat lines that were evaluated in 5 sites characterized by several environmental co-variables. Seven statistical models were tested using two random cross-validations schemes. Two other prediction problems were studied, namely predicting the lines' per...

Genetic Analysis of Grain Yield and Yield Components in Bread Wheat using Hayman's Diallel Method

Extended Abstract Introduction and Objective: By progeny trial after a diallel crossing, the function of genes and inheritance of quantitative traits can be estimated. This increases the ability to select parental lines, to participate in crosses, and determines the management of generations in the segregating populations. Material and Methods: In order to understand the genetic structure of ...

Association analysis of historical bread wheat germplasm using additive genetic covariance of relatives and population structure.

Linkage disequilibrium can be used for identifying associations between traits of interest and genetic markers. This study used mapped diversity array technology (DArT) markers to find associations with resistance to stem rust, leaf rust, yellow rust, and powdery mildew, plus grain yield in five historical wheat international multienvironment trials from the International Maize and Wheat Improv...

Genetic Diversity and Population Structure Analysis of European Hexaploid Bread Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) Varieties

Progress in plant breeding is facilitated by accurate information about genetic structure and diversity. Here, Diversity Array Technology (DArT) was used to characterize a population of 94 bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) varieties of mainly European origin. In total, 1,849 of 7,000 tested markers were polymorphic and could be used for population structure analysis. Two major subgroups of whe...
